Why this role is exciting

If you enjoy creating fun, engaging promotional content and helping shape how the convention presents itself to the world, this role puts you right in the middle of the creative engine that keeps excitement building for Dublin 2029. You’ll help craft the stories, visuals, and messages that draw fans in and make them feel part of something special.

What you’ll actually do

You’ll work on a variety of promotional projects—writing copy, assembling content, and helping develop materials that support the convention’s outreach and visibility. Some days you might be drafting a social post or polishing a short announcement; other days you might be collaborating with another team to produce content for a specific campaign or event. You’ll liaise with Communications, Programme, Events, and other teams as needed to gather information, confirm details, and ensure messaging stays consistent. You’ll be part of the group that keeps promotional materials flowing smoothly and on schedule.

Skills and experience

This role is ideal for deadline‑oriented creative thinkers with solid writing skills. You don’t need professional marketing experience—just a knack for clear, engaging communication and a willingness to collaborate. If you enjoy brainstorming ideas, shaping messages, and helping teams express themselves effectively, you’ll thrive here. Reliability and comfort working with shared documents or communication tools are helpful, but training can be provided.

The work involved in the role

This is an online‑focused role, and you can do it from anywhere. Most of the work involves drafting or editing promotional content, coordinating with other teams, and helping move projects forward. It’s not physically demanding, and at‑con work is optional—though you may be invited to help with live promotional content if you’re interested. The role is behind‑the‑scenes, but your work will be highly visible once published.

Time commitment

Expect an average of 2–3 hours per week, with some increases during peak promotional periods. Most communication is asynchronous, though occasional planning calls may be scheduled.
